Dress Code
This policy addresses specific expectations and includes guidelines for dress and appearance of staff at Manzil Home Health.
- It is mandatory for all clinical staff to wear their uniform at work
- It is mandatory for all clinical staff to wear provided uniform even if they are visiting office for training or allocated for office duty
- It is equally applicable to the clinical Office team to wear the provided scrubs during duty hours
All Administrative staff should be in formal attire as mentioned below:
- For female employees, shirts, blouses (no spaghetti straps or revealing) formal tops, business style skirts (not above the knee), pants and dresses. At all times, tank tops, low cut shirts, mini shirts, miniskirts, slippers, and other inappropriate items should not be worn in the workplace.
- For Male employees Business formals that includes formal shirt (without flashy or gaudy print), formal trousers and formal shoes.
Non acceptable clothing: (on the grounds of Health & Safety or Manzil Home Health Services public image)
- Denim jeans or skirts (all colors and styles)
- Track suits
- Casual sports T-shirts
- Leisure shorts
- Combat trousers
- Sweat-shirts
- Overly tight or revealing clothes, including mini-skirts
- Tops and pants revealing the midriff and leggings and/or underwear
- Clothing bearing inappropriate slogans
Protective clothing and equipment:
The provision of personal protective equipment is the responsibility of Manzil Home Health Services. Each manager must ensure that personal protective clothing and equipment is available to the Employees whilst carrying out their duties in accordance with health & safety requirements.
The principles are based upon:
- Resident safety
- Personal safety
- Statutory regulatory requirements
- Work environment
- Health and Safety requirements
- Infection control requirements
Footwear:
Footwear must be safe, sensible and in good order, smart and clean and have regard to Health & Safety considerations. Flip-flops and open toe sandals are not acceptable. Certain jobs require Staff to wear protective footwear.
Badges
A name / identity badge issued by Manzil Home Health Services must be worn at all times within the facility.
Jewelry and Piercing:
Jewelry should be discreet and appropriate and not cause offence or be a health and safety hazard. Facial/body piercing is not permitted and must be removed before coming on duty.
Hair:
Hair should be neat and tidy at all times. Headscarves worn for religious purposes are permitted.
Finger nails:
Finger nails should always be kept short and clean. Nail varnish, false nails and nail extensions are not permitted in any clinical setting
Manzil Home Health Services Uniform Requirement:
Some Staff groups are required to wear uniforms provided by Manzil Home Health Services. The uniforms issued must not be altered or added to by the individual.
